Job Overview
The Director, Security Engineering will lead the strategy, development, and implementation of comprehensive security engineering solutions across Auctane’s platforms. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our systems and data, while fostering a culture of security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the security engineering roadmap, aligning with business objectives and threat landscapes.
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of security engineers.
Design, implement, and manage robust security controls, including network security, application security, cloud security, and data protection.
Oversee security incident response planning and execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Drive automation of security processes and tooling.
Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, and proactively adapt defenses.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience in a senior security engineering leadership role.
Deep understanding of cloud security principles and practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Expertise in security architecture, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Go).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, global environment.
Resident in Spain.
