Quality sits at the core of what they ship, and they’re looking for a QA Lead who can own that function end to end.

Job Overview

This role combines hands-on testing expertise with team leadership and process ownership. You’ll lead manual and automated testing efforts across web, mobile, APIs, and enterprise applications, define quality standards, and make sure every system that goes out is reliable, secure, and built to perform. The ideal person is analytical, detail-oriented, and genuinely passionate about quality, not just coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall QA strategy across projects, including test planning, estimation, and execution for each release cycle.
• Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers, acting as the quality escalation point when critical production issues arise.
• Design and review test cases, test scenarios, and automation scripts to ensure thorough functional and non-functional coverage.
• Perform and oversee web, mobile, responsive, and API testing activities across the full breadth of AppLab’s product portfolio.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Cypress, and drive automation best practices across the team.
• Plan and coordinate regression, UAT, smoke, and performance testing in line with sprint and release schedules.
• Work closely with developers, project managers, and business teams throughout Agile sprints to keep quality embedded in the development process.
• Maintain QA documentation, standards, and test artifacts, and ensure applications meet security and data protection best practices.

Technical Skills

• Solid experience testing web applications across browsers and devices, with a strong understanding of responsive design validation.
• Experience testing mobile apps on Android and iOS, or mobile web applications, including use of tools like BrowserStack or device emulators.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI, with a clear understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and status codes, and the ability to validate API integrations between systems.
• Experience building automation frameworks using Selenium and Cypress, with knowledge of scripting in JavaScript, Java, or Python, and experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing experience with one or more CMS platforms, including Drupal, WordPress, Umbraco, or SharePoint.
• Good working knowledge of SQL for data validation, query writing, and backend test scenario verification.
• Experience testing enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, HRMS, or internal portals.
• Familiarity with security testing concepts including OWASP principles, access control, and common vulnerabilities.
• Exposure to performance and load testing tools such as JMeter.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum environments, defect tracking tools like Jira and Azure DevOps, and the ability to define test strategies, regression plans, and QA metrics.
