Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Observability Architect to join our West Coast team. This remote position requires deep expertise in observability principles, tooling, and best practices, with a focus on architecting scalable and robust solutions. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver best-in-class observability experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement comprehensive observability strategies for clients, encompassing metrics, logs, traces, and other relevant data sources.
Architect and deploy solutions leveraging Grafana Cloud and other open-source observability tools.
Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to internal teams and customers.
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in our observability offerings.
Contribute to the development of best practices and reusable architectural patterns.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Observability Architect or in a similar senior technical role.
Deep understanding of observability concepts (metrics, logging, tracing, profiling).
Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and other relevant open-source observability projects.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, microservices).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
Familiarity with distributed systems and their observability challenges.
