Job Overview

The HSE Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all relevant regulations at IFS operations in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in alignment with company standards and local legislation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Organize and deliver HSE training to employees and contractors.
  • Investigate all incidents and accidents, determining root causes and implementing preventative measures.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records and prepare comprehensive reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HSE Officer, preferably within the facilities management or service industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian HSE laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques and safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
