Solidarités International is seeking a motivated and experienced WASH Activity Manager to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Job Overview
The WASH Activity Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) activities within Solidarités International’s programs in Malaysia. This role requires strong technical expertise in WASH programming, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead and coordinate field teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute detailed WASH work plans and budgets.
Oversee the implementation of WASH infrastructure projects (e.g., water points, latrines).
Lead and facilitate hygiene promotion campaigns and community engagement activities.
Ensure adherence to international WASH standards and best practices.
Monitor project progress, collect data, and produce regular reports.
Manage and mentor WASH field staff.
Liaise with local authorities, partners, and beneficiaries.
Contribute to WASH needs assessments and proposal development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in WASH programming in humanitarian or development contexts.
Proven experience in project management, including budget management.
Strong understanding of WASH technical standards and methodologies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
