Job Overview

The Senior Technician – Power Plant will be responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and repair of all power generation equipment, ensuring reliable and efficient energy supply to Cormart Nigeria Limited’s facilities. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of power plant systems and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on power generation equipment, including generators, turbines, boilers, and associated auxiliary systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Operate and monitor power plant systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to operational parameters.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and operators.

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Senior Technician in a power plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of power generation principles, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
