Job Overview

The Optician will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive accurate and appropriate optical solutions. This position involves dispensing eyewear, fitting contact lenses, and providing expert advice on lens options and frame selections, all within a professional and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye conditions.
  • Dispense and fit prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses accurately.
  • Educate patients on proper lens care, frame adjustments, and visual hygiene.
  • Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their prescription, aesthetic, and lifestyle needs.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory of optical supplies.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Requirements

  • Relevant qualification or certification in Optometry or Optical Dispensing.
  • Proven experience as an Optician.
  • Proficiency in optical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong understanding of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and contact lens technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
