## Job Overview

Casa45 Lagos is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to ensure the seamless operation and impeccable condition of our entire facility. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing all aspects of building maintenance, from preventative care to swift and effective repairs. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in upholding the high standards of our establishment, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our valued guests and dedicated staff. You will lead a team, collaborate with various departments, and implement robust maintenance programs that contribute directly to operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

## Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components, to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
* Oversee and conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify and address any potential maintenance issues, safety hazards, or aesthetic deficiencies before they escalate.
* Manage all repair requests, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of issues, whether they pertain to guest areas, kitchen facilities, back-of-house operations, or exterior grounds.
* Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance personnel, delegating tasks effectively, fostering a culture of accountability, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Source, manage, and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services, ensuring quality workmanship and cost-effectiveness.
* Maintain an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, managing procurement and ensuring adequate stock levels to support daily operations.
* Develop and manage the departmental budget, tracking expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
* Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, implementing and enforcing policies to maintain a secure workplace.

## Requirements

* Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within facilities maintenance, preferably within the hospitality or food service industry.
* Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and resolving a wide range of building maintenance issues, encompassing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
* Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in facilities management.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a maintenance team.
* Proficiency in budget management, vendor negotiation, and inventory control.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
