Job Overview
As our remote Logistics Manager, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the seamless flow of materials, equipment, and personnel crucial to our diverse project portfolio. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing robust logistics strategies that ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to stringent safety and quality standards. This pivotal role requires a proactive and analytical individual who can navigate complex supply chains and optimize delivery schedules in a global context.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies and operational plans to support various oil and gas projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
* Manage and optimize inventory levels, warehousing, and distribution networks, both domestically and internationally, to meet project demands and minimize holding costs.
* Oversee the procurement and management of transportation services, including sea, air, and land freight, negotiating favorable rates and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure reliable and efficient service delivery.
* Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous enhancement of efficiency and cost savings.
* Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures throughout all logistics activities.
* Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and disruptions within the supply chain, developing contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
* Manage the logistics budget, tracking expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service quality.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics management, preferably within the oil and gas or heavy industrial sector.
* Proven track record of successfully managing complex international logistics operations, including customs clearance, import/export procedures, and regulatory compliance.
* Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, warehousing best practices, and transportation optimization.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed strategic decisions.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
* Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.
