Job Overview

As the ML / DevOps Engineer Lead at NASENI, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our cutting-edge machine learning initiatives. You will define and implement best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automated deployment of machine learning models. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of both MLOps principles and cloud/hybrid infrastructure management, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our ML-driven solutions. You will lead the charge in operationalizing complex ML systems, making them accessible and impactful for our national projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, implement, and manage end-to-end MLOps pipelines, from data ingestion and model training to deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
* Develop and maintain robust CI/CD strategies for machine learning projects, ensuring rapid and reliable deployment cycles.
* Architect and manage scalable cloud or hybrid infrastructure solutions, leveraging services from providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and on-premises resources.
* Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems for ML models in production, tracking performance, drift, and potential issues.
* Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
* Collaborate closely with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their needs and translate them into production-ready solutions.
* Establish and enforce security best practices for ML infrastructure and data pipelines.
* Lead and mentor a team of DevOps and ML engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

* Proven experience in a lead or senior role encompassing both MLOps and DevOps principles.
* Strong proficiency in designing, building, and managing CI/CD pipelines for machine learning workloads.
* Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or hybrid cloud environments, including infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
* Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
* Demonstrated experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and their application in automation.
* Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their deployment considerations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
