Job Overview

BlueWave New Energy Technology Nigeria Company Limited is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Officer to spearhead our growth initiatives within Nigeria. This pivotal role will be instrumental in identifying new market opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and driving the adoption of our innovative renewable energy solutions. You will be a key player in expanding our footprint and contributing to a greener, more sustainable future for Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and qualify new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships within the Nigerian energy sector.
* Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with BlueWave’s overall objectives and market demands.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, potential clients, and local communities.
* Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to understand market trends, customer needs, and potential challenges.
* Lead the negotiation and closing of significant commercial agreements, including power purchase agreements and distribution contracts.
* Collaborate closely with the technical and operational teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
* Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and reports to communicate BlueWave’s value proposition and secure new business.
* Represent BlueWave at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and foster business relationships.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
* Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development, sales, or project management within the energy sector, preferably with experience in renewable energy in Nigeria.
* Deep understanding of the Nigerian energy market, regulatory landscape, and key players.
* Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
* Proficiency in market research, financial modeling, and business case development.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
