Job Overview
Ultraviolet Microfinance Bank Ltd is seeking a driven and results-oriented Deposit Mobilization Officer to join our team in Nigeria. This crucial role will be instrumental in expanding our deposit base and strengthening our financial foundation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Nigerian financial landscape and a proven ability to develop and execute effective strategies for attracting and retaining customer deposits. You will play a key part in achieving our growth objectives and enhancing our market position.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to attract new individual and business customers for savings, current, and fixed deposit accounts.
* Proactively identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including community outreach, business partnerships, and targeted marketing campaigns.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, providing exceptional customer service and personalized financial advice.
* Educate customers on the benefits and features of Ultraviolet Microfinance Bank’s diverse deposit products, tailoring solutions to meet their unique financial needs.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and adapt deposit mobilization strategies accordingly.
* Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns aimed at increasing deposit inflows.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to deposit taking and customer onboarding.
* Achieve and exceed set targets for deposit growth and customer acquisition.
Requirements
* A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* Proven experience in deposit mobilization, sales, or business development within the Nigerian financial services sector, preferably in microfinance or banking.
* Strong understanding of deposit products, banking operations, and regulatory frameworks in Nigeria.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
* A proactive and self-motivated individual with a results-oriented approach and a passion for exceeding targets.
* Proficiency in using relevant banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
