Job Overview

As a Sr. Cloud Engineer at Top Employer, you will be instrumental in the design, implementation, administration, and ongoing maintenance of our enterprise-level cloud infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Cloud Engineering Manager, you will leverage your deep expertise to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our cloud services, supporting critical business operations and future growth initiatives. This role demands a proactive approach, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Architect, develop, deploy, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on leading cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
* Implement and maintain robust security controls, policies, and best practices to protect cloud resources and sensitive data.
* Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security incidents, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployments, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and ensure seamless integration with cloud services.
* Lead the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies within the cloud environment.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
* Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends, evaluating and recommending solutions to enhance our cloud strategy.
* Manage cloud costs effectively by implementing optimization strategies and monitoring resource utilization.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on designing, deploying, and managing complex cloud infrastructures.
* Proven expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including a deep understanding of their core services.
* Demonstrated proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
* Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices in cloud environments.
* Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
