Job Overview

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be instrumental in nurturing and expanding our crucial FordDirect and Lithia programs across the Northeast territory, specifically focusing on New York and New Jersey. This hybrid role demands a proactive approach to client engagement, ensuring optimal satisfaction and sustained growth within a defined set of accounts. You will be the primary point of contact, dedicated to understanding and fulfilling the unique needs of each dealership partner.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize revenue and client retention within the FordDirect and Lithia programs in NY/NJ.
* Proactively manage a high-volume portfolio of smaller accounts, identifying opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, and enhanced service utilization.
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with dealership principals, general managers, and key decision-makers.
* Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance, identify challenges, and propose tailored solutions.
* Serve as an expert resource on our products and services, educating clients on best practices and new offerings.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and support, to ensure seamless client experience and issue resolution.
* Monitor account health and performance metrics, providing timely and insightful reports to leadership.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to proactively adapt strategies and identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

* Proven track record of success in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the automotive or dealership services sector.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of accounts effectively while maintaining strong client relationships.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of sales principles and the ability to develop and implement strategic account plans.
* Proficiency in CRM software and other sales enablement tools.
* Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
* Must reside within or have extensive knowledge of the Northeast territory (NY/NJ).
