Job Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in expanding ApplyBoard’s presence and impact across the United States. You will identify, cultivate, and manage strategic relationships with educational institutions, agents, and other key stakeholders. Your primary focus will be to drive growth and market share by championing ApplyBoard’s innovative solutions that simplify the international student journey. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities and a deep understanding of the higher education landscape.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the US market, aligning with ApplyBoard’s overarching goals.
* Identify, prospect, and secure new partnerships with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions in the US.
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within partner organizations.
* Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop targeted outreach campaigns and promotional materials.
* Represent ApplyBoard at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
* Analyze market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to inform strategic planning and product development.
* Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and adherence to company standards.
* Provide regular reports and insights on business development activities, pipeline status, and market intelligence to senior leadership.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
* Proven experience (X+ years) in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably within the education technology or international education sector.
* Demonstrated success in identifying and securing new business opportunities and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
* Strong understanding of the US higher education system and the international student recruitment landscape.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
* Ability to travel as required to meet with partners and attend industry events.
