Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Officer

As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and reports
• Processing invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial statements
• Monitoring company expenses and supporting cost control measures
• Maintaining accounting ledgers and proper documentation
• Supporting audit processes by providing necessary financial data
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies

Requirements for the Accounts Officer Role

To qualify for this Accounts Officer position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity and confidentiality
• Knowledge of tax regulations and statutory compliance is an added advantage
