The Systems & Network Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable network and server environments while ensuring business continuity and system resilience.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and maintain secure network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and WAN/LAN environments
- Manage on-premise and cloud server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, monitoring, patching, and backups
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity controls, including access management, threat monitoring, network segmentation, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and connectivity issues across user groups
- Support integration of digital platforms, applications, and data systems
- Monitor network performance, logs, and uptime to ensure optimal operations and early detection of issues
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including backup routines and redundancy
- Document system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience managing enterprise-level networks and server infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, firewalls, and network security architecture
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners
- Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) are an advantage
- Public-sector or regulated-environment experience is a plus
