Job Overview

- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on secure coding practices, cryptography, and security design patterns.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance Kraken's security posture.
- Develop and document security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, contributing to post-incident analysis and remediation.
- Champion a security-first culture across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container security.
- Proficiency in cryptography, network security, application security, and data security.
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Strong knowledge of threat modeling methodologies and risk management.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the financial services or cryptocurrency industry is highly preferred.
