Job Overview
As a Senior SDET, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions for government technology initiatives. You will leverage your extensive expertise in test automation, software development principles, and agile methodologies to design, implement, and maintain robust testing frameworks. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex technical challenges, collaborating closely with development teams, and driving best practices in quality assurance.Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive automated test suites for web and mobile applications.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient test execution and feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define testing strategies.
- Develop and advocate for robust testing methodologies and tools.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing and troubleshoot production issues.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET) or a similar role.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#) for test automation.
- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Strong understanding of API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
