Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our remote team in the USA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of ClickUp's database infrastructure. You will work on complex systems, tackle challenging problems, and play a vital part in maintaining the seamless operation of our platform as we continue our rapid growth.Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust database systems that are highly available and performant.
- Develop and implement automated solutions for database provisioning, configuration, and scaling.
- Monitor database health, performance metrics, and identify/resolve potential issues proactively.
- Create and manage incident response plans and conduct post-mortems to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize database performance and ensure efficient data management.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for our database systems.
- Contribute to capacity planning and performance tuning of database infrastructure.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Database Reliability Engineer or in a similar SRE role.
- Deep understanding of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL) and their operational aspects.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their database services.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, and operating systems.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
