Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess outstanding debts and develop recovery strategies
- Contact debtors to negotiate payment plans and settlement terms
- Prepare detailed recovery reports and documentation for management review
- Maintain accurate records of all recovery communications and transactions
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and CBN guidelines
- Collaborate with legal teams on contested or complex recovery cases
- Monitor payment progress and follow up on defaulted accounts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or related discipline
- Proven experience in debt recovery or collections management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of financial regulations and recovery procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management systems
- Professional certification in credit management (preferred)
