Truebond Global Investments Limited is hiring an experienced Group Head, Business Development Manager to lead business development, sales, client acquisition, and revenue growth across its insurance brokerage operations in Lekki, Lagos.
The role is responsible for developing and executing business development strategies, leading a high-performing Business Development team, acquiring and retaining corporate clients, building strategic partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities within the Nigerian insurance brokerage market.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned insurance brokerage professional with 8–10 years of relevant experience, ACIIN certification, strong commercial awareness, proven sales and business development experience, and a track record of managing high-value corporate accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development and sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
- Lead, manage, mentor, and motivate the Business Development team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Drive new business acquisition, client acquisition, client retention, and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, insurance brokers, insurers, and strategic business partners.
- Identify, develop, and convert new market opportunities within the Nigerian insurance brokerage industry.
- Build and manage sales pipelines, forecasts, business development plans, and performance reports.
- Lead high-value sales negotiations, corporate account acquisition, and strategic client engagements.
- Monitor Business Development team performance against KPIs and ensure accountability for results.
- Work with management and other departments to develop innovative insurance products and identify new market opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and high-level corporate client engagements.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of proven professional experience in insurance brokerage, business development, or related insurance sales roles.
- ACIIN (Associate, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria) professional certification is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven track record in business development, insurance sales, client acquisition, corporate account management, and revenue generation.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to build and manage high-performing Business Development teams.
- Excellent knowledge of the Nigerian insurance brokerage market, insurance industry dynamics, and corporate insurance clients.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, networking, sales, and relationship-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to acquire, manage, and close high-value corporate accounts.
- Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking, business development, and target-driven mindset.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, reporting, and client engagement skills.
