Job Overview
The Director, Utility Delivery & Coordination will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of utility service provision and coordination for Cologix data center facilities in the USA. This includes managing relationships with utility providers, ensuring reliable and cost-effective delivery of power, cooling, and other essential services, and driving operational excellence in utility management.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for utility service delivery and management across Cologix's US data center portfolio.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with electric, gas, water, and other utility providers.
- Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and performance management with utility partners.
- Monitor utility consumption, identify optimization opportunities, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal utility regulations and standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams to coordinate utility installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms for utility performance and expenditure.
- Manage risk associated with utility service disruptions and develop contingency plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in utility management, energy procurement, or a related field within the data center or critical infrastructure industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex utility contracts and relationships with major providers.
- Strong understanding of utility rate structures, energy markets, and regulatory landscapes.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
