Job Overview

This hybrid role offers the opportunity to blend strategic product management with hands-on design expertise. The Senior Product Designer/Product Manager will be instrumental in defining product vision, translating user needs into actionable roadmaps, and overseeing the end-to-end design and development lifecycle for key U.S. News digital platforms and features. You will champion user-centric design principles and leverage data-driven insights to inform product strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate product strategy, vision, and roadmap for key digital initiatives.
  • Lead user research, ideation, and concept development for new features and product enhancements.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, editorial, marketing, and research teams to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Define product requirements, write user stories, and prioritize backlogs.
  • Analyze product performance metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong emphasis on product design.
  • Proven experience in user-centered design methodologies and a portfolio showcasing product design work.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex user needs into intuitive and effective digital experiences.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
