Job Overview
MacTay Consulting is seeking a skilled and responsible Truck Driver to manage the transportation of goods and materials across various locations within Nigeria. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and safe delivery, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate trucks in a safe and efficient manner to transport goods and materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any defects or necessary maintenance.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, securing it to prevent damage or shifting.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
- Provide exceptional service to clients by ensuring timely and professional deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the type of truck operated.
- Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably within Nigeria.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian road networks and traffic regulations.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations.
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading as needed.
