Job Overview

The Trade Marketing Representative will be responsible for implementing and executing trade marketing strategies at the point of sale. This includes managing relationships with trade partners, ensuring optimal product visibility, and contributing to the achievement of sales targets within a defined territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective trade marketing plans aligned with brand strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and other trade partners.
  • Ensure optimal in-store visibility and merchandising of BAT products.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities.
  • Track and report on sales performance and trade marketing execution.
  • Manage promotional activities and ensure timely execution.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in trade marketing, sales, or a similar commercial role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong understanding of the South African trade environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
