Job Summary

The Shift Leader (Operations) Job in Lagos involves supervising warehouse and operations staff, coordinating parcel handling activities, and ensuring shipments are processed and dispatched efficiently. The role requires proactive problem solving, team leadership, and operational oversight to meet daily targets and service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Supervision

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse and operations staff during assigned shifts
• Ensure timely receiving, sorting, scanning, and dispatching of shipments
• Monitor daily operational targets and maintain service level agreements (SLAs)
• Maintain accurate shipment and inventory records using company systems

Team Leadership and Training

• Train, guide, and motivate team members to improve productivity and service quality
• Maintain discipline and foster teamwork within the shift
• Support staff in following operational procedures and safety standards

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Identify operational issues and implement quick solutions to maintain workflow
• Coordinate with transport teams to ensure smooth inbound and outbound logistics
• Prepare and submit shift performance reports to management

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates for this Shift Leader (Operations) should meet the following criteria

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in logistics, courier, or warehouse operations
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, parcel handling, and logistics processes
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage operational deadlines
• Strong communication and team management skills

Salary
