Job Overview

The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the structural integrity of various construction projects undertaken by Mshel Homes Limited. This role requires a strong understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and a commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing designs that align with our clients’ visions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed structural designs for residential and commercial buildings.
  • Conduct structural analysis and calculations using relevant software.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Ensure designs comply with Nigerian building codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee site inspections to ensure adherence to structural plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions to construction challenges.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional registration with COREN or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in structural design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD).
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian building regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
