Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is seeking a talented and dedicated Regional Visual Design Officer to join our team remotely. This role is instrumental in shaping the visual identity of CRS across our various programs and regions, ensuring impactful and consistent communication. The ideal candidate will possess a strong creative vision, a keen understanding of design principles, and the ability to translate complex information into compelling visual narratives.

Job Overview

The Regional Visual Design Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive visual design strategies that align with CRS’s mission and branding guidelines. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple projects, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of CRS’s visual communications on a regional scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute creative visual concepts for a range of materials, including reports, presentations, infographics, social media graphics, and campaign collateral.
  • Ensure all visual assets adhere to CRS brand guidelines, maintaining consistency and quality across all regional outputs.
  • Collaborate with program staff, communications teams, and external partners to understand design needs and translate them into effective visual solutions.
  • Manage the design process from concept to completion, including sourcing imagery, selecting typography, and ensuring final artwork is technically sound.
  • Provide guidance and training on visual design best practices to regional teams.

    • Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Visual Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and impactful design work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent understanding of visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and layout principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, global team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present design concepts clearly.
  • Experience working within a non-profit or international development context is a plus.
