Job Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of project costs, from pre-contract estimating through final account settlement. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and comprehensive knowledge of construction practices and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate bill of quantities and cost estimates for projects
• Monitor project expenditures and manage budgets throughout construction phases
• Process and certify contractor claims and interim valuations
• Conduct material and labour rate analysis
• Prepare detailed final accounts and cost reconciliation reports
• Advise on contractual variations and change orders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Professional certification (QS or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction projects
• Strong proficiency in cost estimation software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
