Job Overview
Five28 is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our esteemed team in Nigeria. This pivotal role will be instrumental in overseeing the successful execution of our diverse property development projects from conception through to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing complex construction and renovation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest Five28 standards of quality and design innovation. You will be a key liaison between our clients, design teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders, driving seamless collaboration and ensuring project objectives are met with precision.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for new builds, renovations, and interior design projects.
* Manage and coordinate all project activities, including site assessments, design development, procurement, construction, and handover phases.
* Liaise effectively with clients to understand their vision, communicate project progress, and manage expectations throughout the development lifecycle.
* Supervise and direct on-site teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and tradespeople, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
* Monitor project budgets meticulously, track expenditures, identify potential cost overruns, and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate.
* Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues and conflicts as they arise to ensure minimal disruption to project timelines.
* Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements in Nigeria.
* Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings, preparing detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is a strong advantage.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in project management within the property development or construction industry, preferably with a focus on residential or commercial new builds and renovations.
* Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong understanding of project lifecycles and best practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as a strong understanding of construction methodologies and materials.
* In-depth knowledge of Nigerian building regulations, permitting processes, and local market conditions.
* A proactive, results-oriented approach with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional project outcomes.
