Job Overview
This role is integral to the seamless operation of our broadcast facilities, requiring a versatile individual with a broad technical skillset. You will be involved in the day-to-day technical support and operation of various broadcast equipment and systems, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of BBC programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining a range of broadcast equipment including vision mixers, sound desks, and playback systems.
- Troubleshooting technical issues swiftly and effectively to minimise disruption.
- Assisting with studio and outside broadcast operations.
- Monitoring broadcast signals and ensuring quality control.
- Collaborating with production teams to meet technical requirements.
- Performing routine maintenance and checks on equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical broadcast operational environment.
- A solid understanding of broadcast workflows and technologies.
- Proficiency in operating at least two of the following: vision mixing, sound mixing, lighting, or camera operation.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
