COCIN Community Development Programmes Molai, in partnership with Christoffel Blindenmission (CBM) Country Office Nigeria, seeks a dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective implementation and impact assessment of projects funded by CBM Germany, contributing to sustainable community development initiatives in Nigeria.

Job Overview

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will be responsible for establishing and managing robust M&E systems to track project progress, measure outcomes, and inform program adjustments. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical and data management skills to support evidence-based decision-making and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive M&E plans and frameworks.
  • Design and manage data collection tools and methodologies.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze project data regularly.
  • Prepare timely and accurate M&E reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate learning events and feedback mechanisms.
  • Support program staff in M&E capacity building.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Statistics.
  • Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Excel, STATA).
  • Strong understanding of M&E principles and best practices.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
