Job Overview

The Legal Officer will provide comprehensive legal support across Pertinence Group’s diverse operations in Nigeria, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and safeguarding the company’s interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on legal matters related to real estate development, investment, and corporate governance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements and contracts.
  • Conduct legal research and provide opinions on complex legal issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian company law, property law, and other relevant legislation.
  • Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes.
  • Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized university.
  • Barrister at Law (B.L.) qualification and admission to the Nigerian Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-call experience in a corporate or commercial legal setting.
  • Proven experience in real estate law and corporate law.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
