Africa of Our Dream Initiative (AODI) is a burgeoning non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities across Nigeria. Building upon the legacy of David Chukwuma Izuogu’s successful Chucks Academy at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, AODI expands its reach to provide critical support and resources to students. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team in Nigeria and play a pivotal role in our operational excellence.

Job Overview

The Human Resources Officer will be instrumental in managing all facets of HR operations for AODI in Nigeria. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and administrative support, ensuring a positive and productive work environment that aligns with AODI’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Oversee employee onboarding, training, and development programs.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and regulations.
  • Address employee grievances and foster positive employee relations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and manage HR information systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
