Job Overview
The Human Resource Officer will be instrumental in managing all facets of HR operations, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and compliance, within GHI. You will be responsible for fostering a positive and productive workplace culture that aligns with GHI’s environmental mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall mission of GHI.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and GHI’s HR policies.
- Develop and administer compensation and benefits programs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance staff skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar HR role.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A passion for environmental sustainability is a plus.
