Job Overview

The HSE Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs. This role demands a proactive approach to risk identification, mitigation, and the promotion of a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international HSE regulations.
  • Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the company.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in an HSE Officer role, with a preference for manufacturing environments.
  • Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a significant advantage.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective HSE management systems.
  • Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
