We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance and Accounts to lead our financial operations in Nigeria.
Job Overview
The Head of Finance and Accounts will be responsible for the overall financial health and integrity of MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices. This pivotal role will oversee all accounting, financial planning, budgeting, and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with national regulations and MSI’s global financial standards. The successful candidate will play a key strategic role in supporting the organization’s mission and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal stakeholders and external donors.
- Oversee cash flow management and optimize working capital.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial compliance.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to senior management.
- Lead and develop the finance and accounts team.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA) or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Experience with financial management systems and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the non-profit or healthcare sector is an advantage.
