Job Overview

The Head, Mining Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mining operations with a specific focus on the deployment, management, and optimization of XRF (X-ray fluorescence) machines for material analysis and sampling. This pivotal role demands a leader with extensive technical knowledge in mineral processing, analytical techniques, and operational efficiency within a mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies for XRF machine utilization in material sampling and analysis.
  • Supervise and manage a team of technicians and geologists involved in sampling and XRF operations.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of all material sampling and XRF data.
  • Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of XRF equipment.
  • Implement stringent quality control measures for all sampling and analytical processes.
  • Collaborate with geologists and metallurgists to interpret XRF data for resource evaluation and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mining operations, with a strong emphasis on XRF technology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in material sampling techniques and analytical methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of mineral processing and its interaction with analytical data.
