Job Overview

The Head, Accounts & Finance will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, accounting operations, and fiscal strategy for Distritech Distribution Limited. This pivotal role requires a forward-thinking individual to ensure financial health, compliance, and strategic alignment with the company’s long-term objectives in the dynamic Nigerian market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust financial strategies and policies.
  • Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Nigerian financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Lead the budgeting and planning processes, providing financial guidance to departmental heads.
  • Manage cash flow, investments, and banking relationships.
  • Drive financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in the Nigerian financial landscape and understanding of local regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
