EU Delegation Traineeship 2026 Overview

Role of the Political, Press and Information Section
The Political, Press and Information Section plays a key role in:
- Strengthening political relations between the EU, Nigeria, and ECOWAS
- Monitoring and reporting on political and regional developments
- Engaging with government institutions, civil society, and media
- Supporting coordination across EU Member States
Key Responsibilities
As part of the EU Delegation Traineeship 2026 in Nigeria and ECOWAS, selected candidates will:
- Draft reports on political, economic, and human rights developments
- Support meeting coordination and documentation
- Assist in communication and media related activities
- Contribute to public diplomacy events
- Support preparation for official visits from EU institutions
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the EU Delegation Traineeship 2026 in Nigeria and ECOWAS, applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens
- Be currently residing in Abuja
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree
- Have less than one year of professional experience after graduation
- Have no more than six weeks prior experience with EU institutions
Note that internships, volunteer work, or student jobs are not counted as professional experience.
