Smart Partners, a dynamic and growing organization, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team in Lagos, Nigeria. Founded by Tijani Iyemifokhae, a distinguished professional with a background in Industrial Chemistry and an MBA in Human Resources, Smart Partners is built on a foundation of operational excellence and strategic growth. Our COO will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s operational strategy, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and sustained success.

Job Overview

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of Smart Partners. This role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in developing and implementing robust operational frameworks, optimizing processes, and driving business growth. The COO will work closely with the founder and executive team to translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies aligned with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Oversee all daily operations, including but not limited to sales, marketing, HR, and business development.
  • Drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all departments.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Manage and mentor the operational teams, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.
  • Develop and refine business models and operational structures.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience as a COO, Head of Operations, or similar senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing Sales, Marketing, HR, and operational strategies.
  • Strong understanding of business model development and optimization.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and execution abilities.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in operational management and process improvement methodologies.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
