Job Overview
The Carpenter will be responsible for the installation, repair, and fabrication of wooden structures and fixtures within the high-rise buildings we manage. This role requires proficiency in various carpentry techniques and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, erect, and install structures and fixtures made of wood, such as partition walls, doors, window frames, stairs, and cabinetry.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble lumber and other materials.
- Install hardware such as locks, hinges, and latches.
- Perform repairs and renovations on existing wooden structures.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter.
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques and the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Good knowledge of building materials and construction practices.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Valid identification and the ability to work in Lagos, Nigeria.
