Business Development Manager Role

- Required Qualifications: BA/BSc/HND in relevant fields
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales, shipment, and KPI targets across assigned territories
- Collaborate with distributors and Reckitt HQ teams to deliver trade initiatives
- Evaluate distributor performance and implement corrective actions when needed
- Monitor distributor stock, sales, and trade receivables
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through data analysis and field visits
- Plan and implement area coverage strategies to optimize sales and customer engagement
- Monitor competitive activities and assess potential impacts on business
- Forecast brand- and SKU-wise sales to ensure optimal stock levels
- Train distributor sales teams on sales fundamentals and effective selling skills
- Ensure accuracy of distributor-reported data and verification of claims
- Develop growth strategies focused on financial performance and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and distributor teams to streamline processes
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of BSc or HND in relevant fields
- Proven experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or similar role
- Strong understanding of sales, distribution, and FMCG markets, preferably international
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience
- Track record of successfully building business in new territories
- Customer-oriented with strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP; French language skills are a plus
- Strong planning, time management, and problem-solving abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of Ghana geography and trade dynamics is advantageous
- Assertive and capable of operating autonomously as the sole company representative in the territory
