Job Overview
The Building Contractor will be responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of various construction projects within Nigeria. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of building processes, site management, and adherence to safety and quality standards, all within the context of ADKAN Services’ national development objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Supervise and coordinate on-site activities of subcontractors and labor.
- Procure materials and equipment efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Conduct quality control inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and the ADKAN Services management team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Building Contractor or in a similar construction management role.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes in Nigeria.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in project management software is an advantage.
