ECS is seeking a skilled and motivated Application Programmer to join our team remotely, contributing to critical cloud migration and modernization initiatives for the NIH NIAID Enabling and Advancing Technologies (NEAT) program. Job Overview

As an Application Programmer at ECS, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful migration and modernization of applications and infrastructure to cloud platforms. You will collaborate with a team of experts to ensure seamless transitions and optimize application performance in new environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy cloud-native applications.
  • Assist in the migration of existing applications to cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues during and post-migration.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure application compatibility and performance.
  • Contribute to application modernization strategies and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as an Application Programmer.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
