Job Overview
The Account Officer will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting the financial operations of Pertinence Group’s diverse subsidiaries. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of accounting practices and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Manage petty cash and perform other administrative accounting tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Account Officer or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
