The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is seeking a responsible and experienced Driver to ensure the safe, efficient, and proper use of assigned vehicles. The role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and strict adherence to traffic regulations and organisational policies.

Qualification: SSCE/GCE/NECO

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned vehicle(s) safely and responsibly at all times
  • Ensure effective and efficient use of the vehicle for official duties only
  • Maintain proper handling and cleanliness of assigned vehicle(s)
  • Ensure all vehicle documents (licence, insurance, roadworthiness, etc.) are valid, complete, and up to date
  • Promptly report any faults, breakdowns, or defects noticed on the vehicle and follow up until issues are resolved
  • Ensure timely servicing and routine maintenance of assigned vehicle(s)
  • Monitor repairs and servicing to ensure quality work is delivered
  • Comply strictly with traffic laws, safety regulations, and organisational guidelines
  • Support other assigned logistics or administrative tasks as required

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE)
  • Candidates with a Primary School Leaving Certificate and at least 10 years of solid driving experience may also apply
  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional driving experience
  • Valid Nigerian driver’s licence is mandatory
  • Ability to drive cars and buses; experience driving heavy-duty trucks (16–22 tonnes) is an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of traffic rules, road signs, and Nigerian road networks
  • High level of integrity, discipline, and good character
  • Strong communication and basic administrative skills
  • Team player with the ability to work well with others and follow instructions
