Job Description
Black Pelican Group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization’s financial operations and provide executive oversight for major projects and growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial leader with deep expertise in corporate finance, project finance, risk management, and investment strategy. This role is critical to ensuring long-term financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and value creation across the Group’s diverse operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with Black Pelican Group’s corporate objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Provide financial leadership and oversight for major and strategic projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, financial reporting, and performance tracking.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess project feasibility, profitability, and return on investment (ROI), providing data-driven recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks related to taxation, currency exposure, market volatility, regulatory changes, and project execution.
- Optimize capital allocation by evaluating investment opportunities, funding options, and capital requirements, ensuring resources are directed toward high-impact initiatives.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational stability and investment activities.
- Oversee capital structure decisions, financing strategies, and relationships with lenders, investors, and financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal governance policies.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls, reporting systems, and governance frameworks to promote transparency and accountability.
- Communicate financial performance, project milestones, and strategic insights to senior management, the Board of Directors, and key external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field
- Professional certification: ACA or ACCA (mandatory)
- Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience in finance and accounting
- Proven track record in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent)
- Strong expertise in project finance, financial modeling, investment analysis, and capital management
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
