Medical Lab Scientist at ExCare Health – Chevron, Lagos
ExCare Health, a primary healthcare hub providing quality pharmacy, laboratory, vaccination, and digital health services, is recruiting a Medical Lab Scientist to join their team in Chevron, Lagos. This full-time role focuses on performing clinical laboratory tests, analyzing specimens, and supporting patient diagnosis and treatment.

Job Summary
The Medical Lab Scientist will perform standardized clinical laboratory tests, analyze blood, tissue, and fluid samples, ensure quality control of lab equipment, and maintain sterile laboratory environments. The role involves providing accurate test results to support patient care, maintaining laboratory safety, and ensuring compliance with professional and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Organize and label specimens, log data, and arrange reports for delivery
• Maintain a sterile laboratory environment to prevent contamination
• Monitor equipment function, perform routine maintenance, calibrate instruments, and run quality controls
• Conduct hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, and manual differential tests
• Assist physicians in patient treatment through identification and susceptibility testing of bacteria, parasites, fungi, and mycobacteria
• Perform blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing
• Maintain confidentiality of laboratory and patient information
• Adhere to organizational, legal, and professional standards
• Take inventory and ensure adequate stock levels of laboratory supplies
• Prepare daily/weekly laboratory investigation reports
• Explore opportunities to enhance laboratory services and contribute to organizational reputation

Requirements
• Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
• Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
• Valid practicing license
• Residency in Chevron, Lekki, Ajah, or nearby areas
• Strong documentation, laboratory quality management, and data management skills
• Team player with accountability for quality and integrity of laboratory services
